| Description : | Kluane National Park Location: Right at the feet of famous Kluane National Park, this cozy log cabin is nestled between spruce trees and cotton woods. A short walk from the Alaska-bound Haines Highway you will find ample space around the cabin and endless wilderness right behind it. Forested trails and grassy meadows, not only invite moose, coyotes, bears and other native inhabitants, but will lead you into some amazing, untouched northern back country. Deep blue Kathleen Lake, the high country of St. Elias Mountain Range, and the remote valleys of the Cottonwood Pass are only minutes away. What you find: The cabin comfortably sleeps 4 people. A fold-out futon bed and a bunk bed with three bunks can accommodate 5 people. The main part of the log house sports an open concept with table and chairs, closet and cabinets to provide lots of space for your gear. Windows along two sides provide for a fantastic view of the back country and “King’s Throne” summit. The kitchen area is separated by a counter. It comes with all the kitchen equipment like pots and pans, cutlery, water containers and dishes as well as a 2 burner propane stove. There are propane lights, which you won’t need in the summer and a wood stove to heat up the cabin if need be. An outhouse serves as your bathroom facilities An earth cooler keeps your perishables and drinks in top shape. Behind the cabin a campfire setup with seats and benches and lots of firewood allows for memorable evenings outside. |

| Direction : | Landing in Whitehorse/Yukon/Canada International Airport we will meet you downtown and have a last minute talk about housekeeping as well as providing the rental key, bedding sheets and kitchen towels. You then drive 160 km west on the Alaska Highway and pass through Haines Junction (the closet community to the cabin), taking the Southbound Haines Highway towards Haines/Alaska. After 25 Kilometers you will find the short driveway to your left at the green Kilometer sign post 218. You are there! |
