| Description : | Over a hundred years of tradition define the rustic buildings of the charming guest farm Hohewarte. Previously a colonial police station and post office, this accommodation with a historical twist makes for a perfect choice for starting or ending your Namibian holiday. The farm is located only 30 km from Hosea Kutako International Airport and is situated in the midst of an idyllic landscape dominated by African bush savannah, dry rivers, hills and mountains. We offer four comfortable guest rooms with a separate bathroom and a suite in the main building. Another two guest rooms are found in a separate bungalow close to the farm pool. Breathtaking views onto the Olifants River can be enjoyed from the veranda. Let us spoil you with genuine Namibian hospitality. We'll tickle your taste buds with a variety of game specialties, complemented by select South African wines. We pride ourselves in accommodating only a few guests at a time. This affords you the privilege of enjoying our personal attention. We speak both English and German. Apart from cattle farming, the farm is home to a wide variety of game such as oryx, kudu, zebra, hartebeest, steenbok, cheetah and leopard. Bird watching and game viewing in the midst of the African bush is a true adventure, making for fond memories. Visible to the naked eye are the periods of the planets within our solar system. Constellations such as Orion and the Seven Sisters (Pleiades) are clearly visible. Your relaxing stay is only to be interrupted by a refreshing splash in our farm pool, a dazzling game drive or sundowners in the wilderness.
