	Accommodation Description
Description :	At Quinta dos Tres Rios we, the Forestier-Walker family, offer you a magnificent rural location where peace and tranquility reign. Our home is situated outside the village of Parada de Gonta, between Viseu and Tondela, in the heart of central Portugal’s Dao wine region. Six spacious and characterful guest suites provide privacy and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for our visitors. More than a bed and breakfast, we welcome guests to share our home and take meals with the family. Wine Tasting Tour Our wine tasting tour including three nights accommodation with us at Quinta dos Tres Rios. Day One Arrival at the Quinta, a light lunch and a look at local winemaking in the village of Parada de Gonta. Time to relax and then an evening meal with us. Day Two The Dao wine tour. Visit two or three vineyards in the morning with lunch at the restaurant at Quinta de Cabriz. Visit a very traditional vineyard in the afternoon. Dinner with us. Day Three Visit the Douro region. Two vineyards in the morning and a traditional Portuguese lunch in Favious. Visit a further vineyard in the afternoon and then back to dinner at the Quinta. Day Four Depart after breakfast. The dinner at Quinta dos Tres Rios is three courses and includes wine. Pre-dinner drinks and canapes with port at the end of the dinner are also included in the package. Specials for vegetarians are also available. The use of your own car is required. For a group of 8 people, a people carrier can be hired at cost plus fuel and Tolls. We will do all the driving so you can"Spit less and drink more" Price per couple is 700€, April 1st to September 30th 2015, and includes a double suite, breakfast, all other meals and all taxes. Further nights stay can be purchased at a rate of 90€ per day, per couple, on a B&B basis. Winter tours are available at reduced rates; please enquire for prices. Things to do: Golf, horse riding, vineyard tours, skiing, visiting museums and rock climbing are just some of the activities that you can do. We have some great local restaurants nearby and two cafes in the village. The local post office also has an ATM machine. Location If you come from the airports: From Oporto airport. Take the A1 SOUTH towards Lisbon for about 40 mins and at the Aveiro junction take A25 due EAST sign posted to VISEU. After about 40 mins turn off at Junction 17 follow the signs for COIMBRA and join the (IP3). A further 10 mins you join 2-lane road and 3 km on you will see the sign P.de Gonta. From Lisbon Airport, approximately 250km. Take A1, direction-Coimbra, then join the IP3, towards Viseu, and turn off at the PARADA DE GONTA junction (after Tondela). If you come from Spain via Vilar Formoso border: Entering Portugal, via Vilar Formoso, take A25 (old IP5) until you reach Viseu, then turn on to IP3, towards Tondela, and turn off at the PARADA DE GONTA junction. And now? How to find “Quinta dos Tres Rios” After you leave the IP3, follow the sign to Parada de Gonta. Turn right at the first junction and go straight up the hill and down through the village. Continue out of the village, round a sharp left hand bend (with chevrons), and carry on down the hill for about 200 metres. Our entrance is through the large green gates and railings on the right. Quinta dos Tres Rios organises parties in this wonderful setting with breathtaking views over the Rio Pavia. We also organise a three-day wine tasting tour of the Dao and Douro regions. Quinta dos Tres Rios dates back to the XIX century and the house has been totally restored by the Forestier-Walker family. The family made every effort to maintain the original characteristics of the ancient farmhouse and every original piece has, where possible, been restored: the pine floor, the gates, the pine shutters and even the door-handles. All guest accommodations have magnificent views over the Rio Pavia and its wonderful waterfalls, over the vineyard and the whole property. The vineyard was replanted by the Forestier-Walker family and covers an area of 1.9 hectares. All the guest suites have comfortable bedrooms, a sitting-room and bathroom. For your comfort and convenience a fridge and tea & coffee making facilities are provided in each suite. Internet access, ice machine and telephone are available by request.
