	Accommodation Description
Description :	This beautiful traditional cottage in Boavista, Tavira in an ideal location for a quiet and very secluded holiday. Sit in the conservatory and look out over the fields, swim in the pool or sit out on the terrace or simply rest under the olive trees and day dream....A fantastic way to holiday in the Algarve and dont forget the sunshine! Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 the master bedroom has a double bed and log burner. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds. Bedroom 4 has bunk beds - ideal for children - a small room. Additional beds supplied if 8 adults staying. Bathrooms: Bathroom 1 has a bath, bidet, toilet, basin and shower. Bathroom 2 has a shower, toilet, basin and bidet Kitchen: Fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, dish washer, Living Rooms: The living room offers new sofa suite, SKY Free View TV, coffee table, lamps and lamp tables and fire place, access to the outside. Other: All the rooms of our house has wooden beamed ceilings. The dining room is in the conservatory off the kitchen and has stunning views. There is also another conservatory off the bedroom of which you can access the garden and pool. Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: All linen and towels are provided at the cottage except beach towels and are of good quality and are changed for you after one week if you stay for more than a week. Accessibility Our villa has a dirt track leading up to it for about 1.5km which you need to be careful of as it can be a little bumpy! It is very private, even a little remote but it is a great place to stay and we hope you will enjoy it. The outside would not be suitable for wheel chairs but the interior is fine as the only stairs are to the roof terrace. Outside The swimming pool is 10 x 5, can be heated for an extra cost per week, it has a large terrace area surrounding it where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views. Sun loungers are provided. BBQ area is under cover and near the pool so a great place for lunching! There are two shaded areas in the garden with cobbled floors where you can relax under the olive trees. The garden is very well established and has many exotic plants and shrubs providing with many perfumes and all the colours of the rainbow, winding cobbled pathways through the trees plenty of space to explore. Fruit trees providing you with olives, carob, pomegranates, almonds. Coast/Beach The nearest beach to our cottage is Praia-de-Ilha-de-Tavira which is stunning and approx 15 minutes. To some this is the jewel in the crown of the eastern side of Faro. It is also often locally referred to as Praia das Cascas. A few minutes boat trip will take visitors from the jetty of Tavira located just outside the town across to this attractive sandy bar. For visitors with naturist inclinations there is an area reserved especially for their needs which is about one km walk to the west. Golf The nearest golf course would be Quinta do Ria and Quinta de Cima which are approx 10 minutes drive away. There are many quality courses in the East Algarve including Monte Rei, Castro Marim, Benamor and Quinta do Vale. Special interest holidays Bird watching in the East Algarve is very good indeed offering many suprises including Pink Flamingos, The Ria Formosa is one of Portugals most important protected wetlands, being a designated Ramsar site and a zone of special protection, that includes the Nature Park of the Ria Formosa, which covers as area of 14,000 hectares. The park is on a major fly-way for the migrants from Africa, being particularly rich in wader species and passerines. It is also a great place to see rare and localized species, like Purple Swamp-hen and Little Bittern. Protected by a complex web of sand barriers and dunes, the Ria extends along the Algarve coast for more than 60 KM and includes habitats such as dunes, open water, inter-tidal mudflats, salf marshes, salt pans, reed beds, lagoons and pine woods. We can offer you some excellent tours should you choose to have a guide. Travel Our villa has a dirt track leading up to it for about 1.5km which you need to be careful of as it can be a little bumpy! We would recommend that you hire a car of which we are happy to get a quote for you, but you can get transfers and chauffeur if you feel extravagant! Faro International airport is approx 25 minutes drive Tavira town centre is 10 - 15 minutes drive. ZooMarine is 40 minutes. Distances The nearest village is called Prego which is a few minutes drive and you will find local shops and a couple of very Portuguese restaurants and cafes which will offer very cheap meals and beer...worth a try.... Tavira town is alot larger and has many bars, restaurants, shops, cinema, bowling alley and a new shopping centre too. Further details Cash points (multibanco) will accept most foreign cards and they will also be in English for you. You can also draw cash off your credit cards at some of the banks but it does take time! Supermarkets are very good here and offer a variety of items to tempt you you will also find some items that you have at home but if you would like to let me know if you would like something specific for your visit I can purchase it for you and have it at the villa waiting. There are plenty of things to do here and many places of interest, if there is anything that you would love to do while you are here but can not find any details of it let me know as sometimes it is easier when you are in the Algarve already.
