Description :	Just Joey is a friendly charming guest house, situated on the banks of the Eerste River, in the heart of the picturesque historic town of Stellenbosch, in the Cape Winelands. It offers true South African hospitality. Just Joey is tastefully decorated, keeping with the romantic feel of Stellenbosch and the nostalgia of the Cape Winelands. The guest house has been awarded a 4-Star grading by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The soft peach coloured exterior of the house blends with the colour of the Just Joey roses in the lovely Oak and Camphor tree garden. A sparkling pool offers cool relief during balmy summer days and the cosy fireplace in the comfortable guests lounge is a winter’s treat. The separate garden apartment is perfect for honeymooners! A generous Cape breakfast is a speciality. Included is a self-help buffet [cereals, fresh fruit salad, stewed fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices and a variety of cheeses, spreads etc] plus a full English breakfast to be ordered from a menu. Just Joey is a leisurely 2 minute walk to the historic town, restaurants, museums, botanical gardens, conservatoire concerts, the university campus, Coetzenburg Sport Complex, etc. Explore the winelands and taste the best South African wines you can get. Guided half or full day wine tours are available. Play golf at several scenic courses. Bookings can be pre-arranged. The house was erected in 1924 and was turned into a guest house 70 years later, in 1994. The last person to live in the house was Mrs. Joey Lubbe. When she passed away, her son Gert, the then owner of De Ouwe Werf Herberg (Inn), converted the building into a guest house in order to increase his accommodation capacity. In loving memory of his mother, who incidentally was also very fond of the Just Joey rose, Gert then decided to name the guest house after her and the beautiful rose.
