Description : | Jojendi is situated in Linden, a quiet northern suburb of Johannesburg. Its central location is ideal for visitors who need to be close to the major business centres of Johannesburg, such as Sandton, Randburg, and Cresta. Jojendi is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and entertainment hot spots. Sports facilities (Golf Courses, Pirates and Marks Park Sports Club, Wanderers and Ellis Park Stadiums) as well as Places of Worship and Hospitals are minutes away. Red Pepper, a major Recording Studio for Films/TV/Music, is within walking distance, and the SABC/SATV, M-Net and TBN Satellite Headquarters are only about 6km from Jojendi. Two International Universities, Wits and UJ, are within 15 minute’s drive away. O.R. Tambo International, Lanseria International and Grand Central Airports are approximately 20-35km from Linden. Transport to/from the Guest House can be arranged. ACCREDITATION The accreditation of this top 3 Star Guest House was accepted by the South African Tourism Grading Council, as well as the NAA (National Accommodation of South Africa). Jojendi is also a member of The Gauteng Combined Accommodation Association. ACCOMMODATION Jojendi has six double units (including a Semi-Family unit) with “old-fashioned’’ country style and comfort, combined with modern facilities. Accommodation for groups exceeding 13 guests can be arranged. Every Unit has the following facilities: TV (DSTV), Wireless Internet Hot-Spot Connection (WiFi), Ceiling Fan, Wall Heater, and a lock-up Safe. The Kitchenettes are equipped with a Bar Fridge, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Cutlery and Crockery. Coffee/Tea is complimentary. A “Mister Delivery” menu is available for ordering take-away meals. Each bathroom has a Shower with the Semi-Family unit having a Bath and Shower combo. Jojendi has secure parking on the premises for booked-in guests, and offers daily room service. The in-house Laundry operates on weekdays only. BREAKFAST A full breakfast is served, continental as well as cooked. Dinner is available on request. LOCATION AND ATTRACTIONS In and around Linden there are many places of interest. The Melville Koppies (historical/nature conservation site) are round the corner, and so are Florida Lake (canoeing), the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, several major Sports Stadiums, the Linder Theatre, etc. Jojendi will happily assist guests with arrangements for guided tours to townships (where there are eating-houses serving traditional African cousine), etc. GENERAL All the indoor areas of the Guest House, including the Guest Dining Room, are Non-Smoking. Jojendi has a peaceful pool/BBQ area. Throughout the year guests can enjoy the Mediterranean climate of the Gauteng Province with its very hot and rainy summers, and its cold, dry winters (with mild to hot mid-days).
