Our trained field guides can take you on an open vehicle game drive on this private game reserve, night or day, our chef will offer up sumptuous meals and our staff will offer you a quiet, relaxed and professional service that compliments the surroundings as you sit on your private deck watching Africa’s animals come and go, and if the rainy season has been good, take a slow boat safari with us down an African river, to see hippos, crocodiles and some amazing birdlife and feel the spirit of an ancient Africa run through your veins. Having a world heritage site (Isimangaliso wetlands) and the oldest game reserve in Africa (Hluhluwe/Imfolozi) in close proximity, also offers our guests the opportunity of using Falaza as their luxury base camp while exploring this veritable wonderland of wildlife and Zulu culture. We offer open vehicle game drives to the legendary Hluhluwe Game Reserve famous for saving the White Rhino from extinction, where our guides will drive you through the rolling hills helping you track down the “big five”. Visits to an incredible cheetah and wildcat rehabilitation centre are available, so too are excursions to a world class reptile centre and just less than an hour’s drive away is Sodwana bay which offers some of South Africa’s best coral diving opportunities or just a day at the beach for those looking for a more sedate activity. African markets, a Zulu cultural village and St. Lucia Estuary are all extremely popular visits with our guests and they add to the incredible variety we have to offer in this region of the Elephant Coast of South Africa. End each day in one of our remarkable “East African” styled luxury tents and don’t let the word “tent” fool you. These are permanent, en suite structures with private decks that allow you to melt into sleep in the most peaceful of surroundings.
