Pooh Corner will be enjoyed most by those who want to get away from the noise and crowds, to a beautiful home from home. Enjoy sumptuous breakfasts, served in the garden and watch the squirrels cavorting in the trees. 100 year old oak trees and the original nineteenth century Chapman’s Peak Drive bridge,form wonderful accents in the forested garden. A Bonsai garden, a romantically secluded swimming pool and formal herb garden all add to the charm of staying at Pooh Corner. Whether you are escaping city life for a weekend, holidaying with your family or on honeymoon, Pooh Corner hospitality with touches of fresh flowers, home baked goodies and a fireside glass of port, will have you coming back again and again to this magical spot. We offer a choice of luxury self-catering or bed & breakfast accommodation. The suites are tastefully decorated and furnished with old cape furniture and equipped for our guests convenience and comfort. All linen and towels are provided and the cottages are serviced daily except Sundays. Outdoor barbeque/ braai facilities with plenty of wood are at your disposal. Children are most welcome at Pooh Corner. The garden is an adventure with meandering paths, a treehouse and jungle-gym, swings and play-house. The stream, a must to explore, is safely fenced off for little ones, as is the swimming pool. A pram, highchair & cot is available for our guests convenience. Baby sitting can also be arranged. We are 2kms from Noordhoek beach and 9kms from Fish Hoek beach. The Longbeach Mall, a host of shops & restaurants is only 3 kms away. The Noordhoek Farm Village with its fabulous deli, famous Food Barn and other gorgeous restaurants, gift shops, art galleries and children’s playpark is conveniently situated within easy walking distance. Car hire, airport transfers, local taxi services, personalised tours (near and far) and guided hiking trails, can all be arranged on request. Owls House Owl’s House is a self catering cottage that sleeps 4. Traditionally our “family suite” it it also fabulous for couples who just want that little bit more space, and is a great favourite in winter with its inside Queen Anne fire place. Owl’s House has one spacious bedroom, large open plan lounge with TV, dining area and fully equipped Kitchen. French doors look out at a tree framed view of Chapman’s Peak and many sunny hours can be enjoyed on the little private deck, overlooking the Silvermine Mountains. The bedroom has a king-size bed with two sleeper chairs, that can be folded down into children’s beds if needed. Older children can also make use of the double-bed sleeper-couch in the lounge. Linen is supplied for all beds. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge/freezer, stove with oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, cooking pots, crockery and cutlery – everything that you would need to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. The bathroom has a bath, with a shower over the bath. Facilities include, a TV with DSTV channels, DVD, and video recorder, heaters, fan, iron, hairdryer, electric blankets, coffee & tea and a few other homely suprises! Roos Room Roo’s Room is a lovely two roomed Bed and Breakfast suite that leads through french doors onto our beautiful garden and braai patio. A little lounge area with a dining nook, incorporates a tiny kitchenette, with two plate stove, sink, undercounter fridge, microwave, and cupboards stocked with crockery and cutlery. Perfect for business trips or those wanting both bed & breakfast and self-catering options. Roo’s Room has the option of a kingsize bed or twin beds. The en-suite bathroom has a shower only. Facilities include, a TV with DSTV channels, DVD and video recorder, a heater, fan, hairdryer, electric blankets, coffee & tea trolley and a few other homely suprises! Piglets Place Piglet’s Place is one of our charming garden Bed & Breakfast suites. This spacious en-suite bedroom with the choice of twin or kingsize beds looks out onto the beautiful forested gardens and stream. A breakfast nook with oak table and chairs, an undercounter fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery allow you the choice of having a simple stay at home supper or an alfresco lunch in the garden. Piglet’s Place sleeps 2, but there is plenty of room for a cot or toddler bed if needed. The en-suite bathroom has a bath, with shower over the bath. Facilities include, a TV with DSTV channels, DVD, a heater, fan, iron, hairdryer, electric blankets, coffee & tea trolley and a few other homely surprises!

Directions to the Accommodation

Direction :

Coming along the N2 from the Airport, look out for the the M3 (Muizenberg) offramp, take the M3 for about 20kms till the highway ends in a T-junction, facing Muizenberg mountain. Turn right to Simonstown/Fish Hoek. 1km on, turn left up the mountain following “Ou Kaapse Weg/Fish Hoek” signboarding. Continue over the mountain pass for ± 10kms then turn right into “Silvermine Rd / Noordhoek”. Drive for 2kms then turn right at the T-junction onto the M6(Chapmans Peak Drive), pass the Noordhoek Farm Village then turn right into Village Lane. Pooh Corner is immediately on the left. Alternatively you could enter Noordhoek via the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive M6 (Please note this is a Toll Road). Village Lane will be the first road left as you enter Noordhoek. Pooh Corner is immediately on the left. Please enquire if this road is open, as it is often closed due to maintanace, before trying to get to Noordhoek this way.
