Description :	Thobeka Lodge is a rustic and authentic African bush style lodge in Kosi Bay, South Africa, where life is simple and in harmony with nature. Our lodge is build according to the Zulu tradition, out of reeds, mud, tree poles and sticks. We are set amongst big shady trees in a peaceful rural setting, epitomizes simplicity where there are no frills just genuine African bush living. Thobeka Lodge is the place where we live life the African way, humbled and close to nature. Our accommodation consists of 9 rooms, 1 cabin and 3 camping sites for tents. * 5 rooms are fitted with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin * 4 rooms and campsites sharing communal bathrooms. * 2 family rooms share a kitchen and braai facilities. * All other rooms share the communal kitchen, lapa and braai facilities. * The cabin is self catering, on-suite with kitchenette and private braai facilities. * Bring your own camping equipment for the tent camping sites and have full access to all shared facilities, such as the kitchen, showers and toilets, pool and braai facilities. All the units are fitted with mosquito nets, a fan and all bedding, except for towels, which we do not supply. Gas geysers will provide you with hot showers. The communal Lapa, braai facilities, splash pool, boma fire pit and kitchen can be used by all for cooking, socializing and relaxing. You will be able to reach us with a normal city car, but you need a 4x4 to get to the surrounding lakes and beaches. Transfer can be arranged at an extra cost. We are situated 8 km from 3rd Lake and 22 km from Kosi Bay mouth, which is the nearest beach. Kosi Bay is in the far north of KZN, bordering Mozambique, with pristine beaches, untouched nature, beautiful birdlife, amazing activities and memories for a life time! Kosi Bay is a protected area and falls under Isimangaliso Wetland Park. With a range of activities to explore, we are well-placed to embark on a few adventurous African experiences. Whether you're an adventure seeking explorer, a culture vulture, a nature lover, sporty or all of the above, the surroundings have something exciting for you to experience. 	Directions to the Accommodation
Direction :	Directions From N2 (Richardsbay): Take Hluhluwe exit, go through the town and turn left at the roundabout signposted Sodwana. + – 3 km turn right over the railway line signposted Sodwana and Mbazwana. R22 At Mbazwana follow signs to Kwangwanase R22. At Kwangwanase (Mangusi) continue through town on the way towards the border, passing Total garage on left. + – 4,5 km on bend in the road there is a Thobeka signboard with blue writing on white indicating a right hand turn on sand track. You will drive 1.5 km on the sand track, which is easy accessible with a normal city car. Thobeka is at the end of the sand road. Just follow the small signboards next to the road if you are unsure. From Swaziland (Pongola): Turn left on N2 and take Jozini exit on left hand side. Go through Jozini and on leaving Jozini keep a sharp look out for left hand turn signposted Kosi Bay. Proceed over the Dam wall and continue until you reach a T-junction. Turn right signposted Tembe Elephant reserve and Kwangwanase. Continue to Kwangwanase (Mangusi) Pass through the town, passing Total garage on left. + - 4.5 km on a bend in the road there is a Thobeka signboard with blue writing on white indicating a right hand turn on to a sandy track. You will drive 1.5 km on the  sand track, which is easy accessible with a normal city car. Thobeka is at the end of sand road. Just follow the small signboards next to the road if you are unsure. From Johannesburg: Take the N17 towards Ermelo. At Ermelo take the N2 towards Piet Retief. Drive through Piet Retief towards Pongola.  53 km out of Ponogla take Jozini exit on left hand side. Go through Jozini and on leaving Jozini keep a sharp look out for left hand turn signposted Kwangwanase. Proceed over the Dam wall and continue until you reach a T-junction. Turn right signposted Tembe Elephant reserve and Kwangwanase.
