The Thanh Pho region Though the official name is Ho Chi Minh City, the locals still call this city Saigon. Its a bustling, friendly city that offers museums, international restaurants, clubs, amusement parks and tons of shopping. A tropical region, Saigon has two seasons, a rainy season from April to September and a dry season from October to March. Temperatures range from 28 to 33 degrees celsius. Its a bit humid but comfortable. The rainy season is actually lovely in Vietnam, it usually just means a half an hour to an hour of rain in the afternoon. It cools everything down, then the skies clear and a beautiful afternoon awaits you.
